You Make Me Smile is an annual event put on by the memebers of the Elon University chapter of Kappa Delta.

Members of the organization put together a tailgate to celebrate confidence and women bringing up other women. I was asked to create a poster design for the event. A main part of this event is members walking around campus handing out balloons with positive, confidence-building phrases written on them. I wanted to incorporate that into the design. The colors were inspired by the t-shirts they wore a year before. The logo and layout were both created using Adobe InDesign. 

I played a bit with the imagery they used in years past but decided the balloon was the best thing to have at the forefront of this design. I sketched out six designs before deciding which to go with.
